York’s charity fundraiser, A Night to Remember, presented by Ian Donaghy or Big Ian from the party band Huge, has had a record year for fundraising.
This year’s event at the Barbican in York has made £30,249.70!
Ian said: “In a time when money is tight this little gang show of ours continues to bring our community together.”
This year there were performers on stage from 7 to 91 and a surprise guest too. Rick Witter, the singer/songwriter, best known as the frontman of York band Shed Seven.
The concert raises much-needed funds for St Leonard’s Hospice, Bereaved Children Support York and Accessible Arts and Media to get people with learning difficulties into performing
Ian will be speaking about this years show when he joins David Dunning on the Sunday Late Show on YorkMix Radio (Sunday 23 November)
