But what’s happening in York? YorkMix are hosting the Relay For Life York Carnival with plenty of fundraising fun, Bishy Road are hosting a street party that everyone’s invited to, the Witches Coven is back for its fourth year, and see some wartime vehicles with Cold War Wheels at Yorkshire Air Museum.

This Sunday is also Father’s Day! Why not treat the fatherly figure in your life to a Classic Car Show at Castle Howard or run for a good cause with R U Taking the P…?

Relay For Life York Carnival

Relay for Life York is back! Join us for the 24 hour relay, and lots of family entertainment, live music, carnival rides, and much more.

Bring your camping chairs and picnic blankets down on Saturday 20th June, food on offer, grab yourself an ice cold drink from the York RI New Lane Clubhouse Bar and enjoy the FREE entertainment!

Oh Zeus!

Kings of Comedy Le Navet Bete are back! For lovers of Fawlty Towers, Bottom and The Play That Goes WrongOh Zeus! is a riotous, all-out, hilarious ride through Greek mythology.

When the stability of Olympus is threatened by the marriage of Zeus’s daughter Hebe to a mere mortal, the King of the Gods hatches a plan to derail the wedding. Three actors play 40 characters in this mythical farce through Ancient Greece, the Underworld and back. Expect sensational physical comedy, outrageous jokes, fast-paced chaos, and more togas than you can smash a plate at.

Beverley Knight

Father’s Day Car Show

R U Taking the P..? 2026

R U Taking the P…? is back this Father’s Day! On 21st June 2026, head to Rowntree Park to run 5K or 10K your way to raise awareness of prostate cancer and raise vital funds for York Against Cancer.

We’re thrilled to add an option of a 10k this year, which will be the 5k route twice – pick your challenge and get running!

R U Taking the P…? is open to anyone over 8 years old who would like to join us to help to raise awareness of prostate cancer, a disease which more than 50,000 people are diagnosed with in the UK every year. The event will raise funds for York Against Cancer to help us support cancer patients and their loved ones in York, North and East Yorkshire.

Les Misérables (School Edition)

The epic tale of redemption and revolution is retold in this abridged edition, performed by the young talent of the award-winning NETheatre York. After 19 years as a prisoner, Jean Valjean is freed by Javert, the officer in charge of the prison workforce. But after Valjean breaks parole and uses stolen silver to reinvent himself as a mayor and factory owner, Javert vows to bring Valjean back to prison. Eight years later, Valjean becomes the guardian of a child named Cosette after her mother’s death, but Javert’s relentless pursuit means that peace will be a long time coming. Will Valjean ever escape from Javert and will justice finally come to pass?

The Witches Coven 2026

Our Witches’ Coven returns on 20th June at 6 pm, gathering outside Hocus Pocus Hotel on Patrick Pool.

As the evening unfolds, expect live entertainment and singing, a shared group meditation, and the chance to step inside and explore the hotel itself. Guests can enjoy a complimentary drink, take part in our Best Dressed Competition, and gather with like-minded souls as the city begins to shift around us.

As night settles, the Coven will move out into the streets of York, led by Mad Alice, guiding you through the stories and shadows that linger long after dark. All ages, genders and mystical creatures are welcome.
