Across June YorkMix and Martin House Children’s Hospice have got together to bring you a great way YOU can have a fab get together with family, friends or colleagues to raise funds for the Children’s Hospice.
By hosting an ‘Open House’ you’ll help ensure families continue to receive the care and support they rely on. So whether it’s coffee and cake with friends, a garden picnic or a catch-up with your community, anything goes. It’s easy to take part: simply choose your event, invite your guests, and raise funds.
How to host an Open House event?
Anyone can hold an Open House event for Martin House. All you need to do, is decide what kind of event you want to hold and who you want to invite! Some of our favourite Open House ideas include:
- Coffee and cake: Either invite friends around for a get together or set up a cake stall for neighbours or work colleagues to pop by and donate.
- Charity lunch: Host a lunch at work for donations or sell tickets to a lunch at your home. Think about including a raffle to increase your fundraising total!
- Quiz night:Everyone loves a quiz so why not host one for your family and friends. People can donate to take part. Don’t worry if you can’t fit everyone into your home as you could host a quiz night virtually.
Most of all host your event and have some fun! Collect all donations from your event and send these into Martin House.
