York shoppers can enjoy discounts and special offers thanks to a new trail launched in the run-up to Christmas.
The Goodramgate Trail celebrates the street’s mix of independent shops, cafés, and heritage attractions, offering something for everyone.
It’s been launched by the Goodramgate Traders Association, and it aims to attract both visitors and locals to the historic York street during the busy Christmas Market season.
Participants can enjoy a family-friendly trail featuring clues along the street, with a prize waiting at the end for those who complete it.
In addition, shoppers can unlock exclusive offers and discounts along the street by scanning a QR code found on the trail leaflet.
The traders behind the initiative hope the trail will encourage people to explore a different side of York at Christmas – a welcoming, relaxed, and authentic alternative to the busy market crowds just a few steps away.
“Goodramgate has such a wonderful mix of independent traders, historic buildings, and friendly faces,” said Zoe Sinclair, Chair of Goodramgate Traders Association.
“This new trail gives people a reason to slow down, explore, and enjoy the character of this ancient street during the festive season.”
Trail leaflets are available from Park and Ride sites, participating shops along Goodramgate and at selected visitor points across the city.
