Police have made more arrests in connection with the attack on a man in Acomb, York, yesterday (Monday).
As we reported earlier, witnesses reported seeing the man, who was described as vulnerable by those who knew him, being knocked to the floor and kicked in the face by a group of people.
It happened on Front Street outside Betfred at 5.30pm.
Incident location
Police had already made one arrest – a 48-year-old woman who has been released on conditional police bail while their enquiries continue.
Detectives have now revealed they’ve detained two youngsters in connection with the assault.
Two teenage boys were arrested today and remain in police custody.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries.
Officers continue to appeal for information from anyone who has not yet spoken to them.
