Police are asking for the public’s help following trouble on two York streets.
They are stepping up patrols in the Trinity Lane and Fetter Lane in the Micklegate area.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The York City Neighbourhood Policing Team is aware of recent reports regarding anti-social behaviour in the Trinity Lane and Fetter Lane areas – specifically involving late-night noise, drug use, and large groups gathering in the early hours.

“We are stepping up patrols in the area to disrupt this behaviour and keep our community safe.
“Community intelligence is vital. If you have any information, CCTV footage, or details that could assist our proactive operations, please reach out directly to us.”

If you can help, you’re asked to email [email protected] – or call 999 if you see a crime in progress.
Trinity Lane has been at the centre of two serious crime investigations in the last year.
Last June, armed police investigating the stabbing of a man in Walmgate went to an address on Trinity Court off Trinity Lane, although no arrest was made.
Then in February, a man in his 40s was found stabbed at a flat on Trinity Lane.
A man was later arrested and charged with wounding with intent.
