There’s major disruption on the East Coast Mainline today (Monday).
Trains between York and London are being cancelled and delayed due to the theft of signalling cables between Grantham and Newark North Gate.
Train company LNER said: “Emergency Special Working has been implemented in this area.
“Fewer trains are able to run in both directions and a 50mph speed restriction is in place. Because of this, our train service will be reduced.
“Network Rail are on site and are working to restore normal working as soon as possible.
“Services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.”
