A man has been charged following a stabbing in York.
Police say the man, aged 30, who’s from the city, will appear at York Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, facing a charge of wounding with intent.
It follows a major police investigation after a man in his 40s was found stabbed at a flat on Trinity Lane, off Micklegate.
Emergency services were called to the incident at around 3.20pm on Thursday, 19 February.
The was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Officers closed off Trinity Lane for some hours while they investigated the crime.

Altogether five men and three women have been arrested as part of the investigation. One man was previously charged with assaulting police and possessing a knife.
