Police have issued this image in connection with a theft investigation in York.
It happened at 3.05pm on Wednesday 29 October outside the York Explore library in Library Square.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The offender walked up to the victim’s bicycle, a blue and silver Falcon road bike, which was locked to the cycle rack to the right of the entrance to the library.

“The lock was removed and the offender made off on the bike, down Gillygate and then Clarence Street.
“We are appealing for any help that would lead to the identification of the male shown in the still image taken from the CCTV system.”
