A car was abandoned in a North Yorkshire village last night (Monday).
Emergency services were called to Main Street, Minskip, near Boroughbridge, at 9.35pm.
A Mercedes had been abandoned and was smoking.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A Boroughbridge fire crew confirmed that the engine had overheated.
“Police were following up enquiries as to a number of males who were seen leaving the scene prior to arrival.”
