There’s a police incident in York city centre today (Sunday).
Police cordoned off an alleyway and stationed officers at both ends.
Lady Peckett’s Yard, next to the York Gin shop off Pavement, was cordoned off with police tape.

A police van and officer also blocked the other entrance close to the Mumbai Lounge restaurant off Fossgate.
Forensic crime scene officers could be seen working along the alleway.
There was also a police van parked on Foss Bridge.
The police investigation is now over and Lady Peckett’s Yard has reopened.
