Take a look inside York’s newest brunch spot

There’s a new spot to get some delicious brunch in York.

Rise has opened its second location in York today, Friday 3 July, at 11 Museum Street.

It opened from 7am this morning, and offers both sit-in and takeaway – with hot and iced coffee, Matcha, juice, smoothies, as well as Acai bowls, bagels, sandwiches, sweet treats, pastries, and more.

The interior is warm and welcoming, and also features merch available to buy such as tote bags, hats, and stickers – as well as ‘Pantry Picks’ like crisps, chilli oil, and chocolate.

Rise on Museum Street is dog-friendly, and there’s also seating upstairs with a self-serving water station and an order point.

This is the brand’s fifth location – its first venue in York, which opened four years ago on Fossgate, has been a huge success, with queues regularly out the door.

The second venue at 11 Museum Street was previously home to the hot chocolate emporium Cocoa Joe’s, which was opened by University of York graduate Joe Andrew in 2021 and closed last year.

Rise at Museum Street will be open Monday to Saturday from 7am to 6pm, and Sundays from 9am to 6pm.
