A woman was found with a head injury on a York street today (Friday).
It was at the junction of Bishopgate Street and Price’s Lane, next to the city walls.
Ambulance crews reported to police that a woman in her 30s had been found with the injury shortly after midday.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “She has been taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.
“We are appealing for anyone with information – particularly any members of the public who assisted at the scene – to contact North Yorkshire Police.”

An area on Bishopgate Street next to the city walls is cordoned off this afternoon.
Two police vans are in place while investigations continue.
The road is still open. Officers are directing traffic around the cordon, which is causing hold-ups.
Pedestrians are being asked to cross to the other side of the road.
