Bonfire Night 2025 will be particularly memorable for one York household.
That’s because they had to call the fire brigade out to help.
Huntington firefighters were brought in to an out-of-control bonfire on Lea Way, Huntington at 6.54pm.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Huntington attended a residential property where the occupants were unable to extinguish a bonfire in their garden which was out of control.
“Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.”
