A boy was treated in hospital after being attacked in Kirkbymoorside.
It happened as the 14-year-old was walking along Park Lane in the town, close to the junction with Castlegate, at around 6pm on Sunday (30 November).
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “He was attacked by another male who then fled the area.

“The victim received an injury to his head requiring stitches at hospital.”
