York Racecourse has lined up another Michelin-starred chef to serve up a special menu this summer.
Tommy Banks, owner of Michelin-starred The Black Swan at Oldstead and Roots York, will take over both the kitchen and front of house in the Dante Suite on Summer Music Saturday, 27th June.
A York Racecourse spokesperson said: “Expect a specially curated four-course menu showcasing seasonal ingredients, prepared with Tommy’s unique flair that highlights the best of Yorkshire produce.
“Served with a choice of fine wines, beers and soft drinks, as well as a glass of perfectly chilled Brut Champagne upon arrival.
“A luxury Yorkshire Afternoon Tea will complete a culinary experience to remember.”
Tommy’s “takeaway signature pie” will offer a final treat.
Tables for 2-10 are reserved for the day. Guests will have access to a private balcony which is directly opposite the finishing line for the seven races.
After racing the same balcony affords a great view of the Music Stage where Becky Hill will perform live.
Roots to the Races is £640 per person including VAT. You can find more details here.
The package was announced just days after York Races signed up Tom Barnes, chef and owner of Michelin star restaurant Skof, for The Sky Bet Ebor Festival on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 August.
That package is priced at £780 per person.
