Police are investigating an arson attack at a York shop.
Firefighters from Acomb responded to a report of a fire in the street in Beckfield Lane at 1.26am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “On arrival the window frame of a retail premises was on fire.

“The window had been broken and the fire was contained to just the frame. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish.
“Police were made aware and the cause for this incident is still being investigated.”
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said they were called to the incident at 1.40am.
“A bottle containing accelerant had been thrown at the window of a property.
“The bottle landed in the street causing damage to the front of the premises.
“A police investigation is underway and extensive enquiries are ongoing into what officers are treating as arson and criminal damage.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has any information, including passing motorists who may have dashcam footage, and anyone with private CCTV is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
