Experience York Museum Gardens ‘like never before’ – as two exclusive events will take place after hours in the historic gardens.
For two Friday evenings, 14 and 28 August 2026, visitors can enjoy Evening in the Gardens – a relaxed adults-only experience offering rare access to one of York’s most beautiful green spaces after the gardens have closed to the public.
Normally closing at 5pm, York Museum Gardens will reopen exclusively for ticket holders from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
The relaxing event will feature cocktails, live music, and street food – and whether it’s a date night, an evening with friends or simply an opportunity to experience one of York’s most iconic spaces in a completely different way, Evening in the Gardens offers a unique summer evening in the heart of the city.
Tickets cost £7.50 and include a cocktail on arrival. Additional drinks and street food will be available to purchase throughout the evening.
The event is suitable for those aged 18 and over.
