Firefighters tackled a railway line fire early this morning (Monday).
The Selby crew was called to the incident at Carlton at 12.45am.
A train driver reported the fire.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews located a fire measuring 3 by 3 metres and extinguished using a hose reel jet.
“Incident was left with Network Rail officer who informed all passing train drivers that residual steam could vent off from where fire was extinguished for sometime during the night.”
