Get ready for a fun day for you and your furry friend!
This weekend, the York City Dog Training Club are back with their annual charity dog show that’s fun for all the family, with stalls, competitions, prizes, and refreshments – and a lot of cute pooches.
The charity event will take place at Rawcliffe Recreation Hall on Sunday 26 July, and is in aid of two charities: Good Life Dog Rescue and Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue.
The list of classes are:
- Best Puppy
- Best Rescue
- Best Adult Dog (1-7)
- Best Veteran (8+)
- Best Family of Dogs (2 or more)
- Young Handler (13 & Under)
- Best Trick
- Most Handsome Male
- Prettiest Female
- Waggiest Tail
- YCDTC Client Class
- Best in Show – with all winners from classes 1-5 and 7-11
The first class will begin at 11:30am, and entries are £2 per class.
As well as the classes, there will also be fun activities for you and your furry friend, including have a go agility and fastest recall competition.
The York City Dog Training Club has been affiliated to the Kennel Club since 1971, and since then has helped owners and their dogs enjoy learning a variety of skills together through positive, reward-based training.
All instructors are qualified Pet Professionals Level 3 VTQ First Aid and the Instructor Team hold Specialisms in Canine Body Language, Canine Reactivity, Separation Anxiety, Companion Obedience, Gun Dogs, Recall and Scentwork.
