There’s been a large police presence in York city centre this evening.
Three police vans and a crime scene investigation unit have been located on Museum Street, close to the entrance to Museum Gardens.
There was a large section of the pavement cordoned off.

The entrance to Dame Judi Dench Walk was taped off as was the walkway down from opposite Lendal.
Officers with first aid materials were seen close to the entrance to The Star Inn The City.
The cordon was being taken down at around 10pm.
