York City have already had their open-top bus parade – at least in a small way.
You can find the whole thing depicted in miniature in a York shop window.
Monk Bar Model Shop on Goodramgate has created a tiny version of the procession.
Not only does it feature a scale model York Pullman bus, but also a football pitch, scoreboard, stand and trophy.
And they’re all populated with the tiny pigs that have become a favourite feature of Monk Bar Model’s window displays.

The tiny parade is the only one in town now, after City of York Council and North Yorkshire Police vetoed a real one over safety concerns.
The decision sparked dismay from City fans, with both an MP and the region’s Mayor urging it to go-ahead and a petition gaining thousands of signatures.
At the moment, a promotion party at the stadium is the planned celebration. It comes after York City’s dramatic late goal in the showdown at Rochdale on Saturday, which saw them crowned champions of the National League and promoted to League 2.
Antony Currie from Monk Bar Model Shop told us about their bus parade window display. “We were going to do the parade anyway, purely for the victory in the National League.
“And how close that game was, was unbelievable.

“Obviously, we’d like the real parade to come through York. Hopefully, the model will become a reality at some point!”
Antony, who’s a Leeds United fan and so had a less satisfying weekend than City supporters, said they window display has caused a few comments.
“A lot of people said thank you for supporting York, and York City itself. There’s obviously been the odd negative comment from Rochdale fans – but you’ve got to take the rough with the smooth, I suppose!”
