York City bus parade times confirmed

The York City bus parade is going ahead tomorrow (Thursday, 7 May).

City of York Council and North Yorkshire Police have been working with the club to make the event happen.

This morning the council released more details.

It will start around 7pm and finish at the Eye of York at around 7.45pm to 8pm.

A City of York Council spokesperson said: “Full details of the route should be announced around lunchtime today.

“Police and council colleagues, alongside other key organisations such as health, have been involved in the plans.”

The parade will mark York City’s record-breaking season, where they finished champions of the National League and were promoted back to the Football League after a ten-year absence.

Club co-ower Julie-Anne Uggla announced the parade at the promotion party last week.
