York City Football Club will get a celebration bus parade.
The National League champions will take a tour round the city on an open top bus after all. It will take place a week tomorrow, club co-owner Julie-Anne Uggla announced this evening.
So that’s the 7th May with more details to come.
She told 5,000 fans gathered at the LNER Community Stadium tonight that she had set her heart on the parade and what she wants, she goes out and gets. The news was met with a huge cheer.
Plans for a parade were put in doubt after both City of York Council and North Yorkshire Police raised safety concerns.
