A woman airlifted to hospital after being stabbed in York is in a stable condition, police said today (Sunday).
As YorkMix reported yesterday, a major police operation was launched after the attack on Lindley Road at 5.50pm.
Today, North Yorkshire Police issued this update: “A woman remains in hospital with serious injuries from knife wounds, but she is currently described as being in a stable condition.

“A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident and there is believed to be no wider risk to the public.
“An investigation into the incident is underway and there will continue to be a police presence in the area to support the community.”
Police ask any witnesses that have not come forward yet to call 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
