The Real Cyber Awards 2026 will be held in York next year.
The date is set for 30th October and they will be at York’s Milner Hotel. There will also be a one day conference too.
The conference will be a chance to promote your own business or attend to find out more about cyber security and IT and more generally, AI, visual effects, digital media, business support and robotics.
There will be an awards dinner celebrating the people keeping us safe 24/7 all year round. The categories will be announced soon and will open for entries in early January. The awards were launched at an event at Impossible York this week.
Watch – Gary Hibbard, co-founder of Consultants Like Us explain more:
Gary told YorkMix Radio’s Sunday Late Show: “The Real Cyber Awards are an opportunity for individuals who historically might be a little bit reluctant to enter awards to come and celebrate themselves and celebrate their teams and the work that they do.
“The ethos behind it is that it has real integrity. It has a real heart. It has a bit of Yorkshire grit to it.
“In cyber security, we often talk about fortresses. We talk about how you should protect your organisation like it’s a fort or a castle. Obviously, York is steeped in history, and being a personal lover of history myself, I’ve always wanted to bring the awards to York.
“Not a day goes by now that we’re not seeing some large organisation suffering a data breach or a cyber attack, or individuals who are just being scammed by the cyber criminals.
“It’s the number one risk that every business now faces for one very simple reason, we all have data, and it is extremely valuable to us, and it’s therefore very attractive to cyber criminals, and they’re targeting small organisations, mid size organisations, and, of course, larger ones.
“But it’s the smaller organisations who really do need that help, and that’s what the awards and the conference are all about,”
