A man who threatened a York shop worker and demanded they open the till in an attempted raid was caught on camera.
And police have released CCTV footage of the incident in the hope that someone recognises the raider, perhaps by his clothes or his voice.
It happened at around 4.25pm yesterday (Monday) at a newsagents on Holgate Road.

A man entered the store, threatened the shop worker and repeatedly demanded they open the till.
The shop worker refused and the man then left the store empty-handed.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Do you recognise the person in the footage perhaps from his clothing, or his voice?
“If you can help our investigation, please get in touch.”
