Two people were airlifted to hospital after a crash on a road near York on Sunday.
Police, fire crews and paramedics were called to the incident on Lilling Lane near Sheriff Hutton just after 6pm.
Two vehicles collided. One person was trapped in their vehicle. Firefighters from Acomb, Huntington and Malton attended and cut them free.
The drivers of both cars were taken to hospital by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The road was closed in both directions while the emergency services were on scene.
