Update on Scarborough drugs conspiracy investigation

Two further suspects have been charged and remanded into custody in connection with North Yorkshire Police’s investigation.

Nathan Thomas Pratt, 32, of Westway, Eastfield, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court on Monday (22 June 2026) to face three charges:

• Conspiracy to supply class A drugs

• Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs

• Money laundering

He did not enter a plea.

The case has been committed to York Crown Court where he will appear on 20 July 2026.

At Kingston-Upon-Hull Crown Court on Thursday (25 June), Joshua Stephen Scott, Thomas Patrick Edward Howarth, and Erik Edward Fletcher, 37, of South Street, Scarborough, will be appearing at a plea and trial preparation hearing. Fletcher faces the same charges as Scott and Howarth.

Scarborough: Cocaine and cannabis supply suspects charged to court

Following a long-running investigation by Scarborough CID, two suspected drug dealers from the town have been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis.

Joshua Stephen Scott, 33, of Greengate, and Thomas Patrick Edward Howarth, 33, of Trinity Road, appeared at Hull Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (19 May 2026).

They also faced an additional charge of acquiring, using or possessing criminal property, namely monies.

They have been remanded in custody before appearing at Kingston-Upon-Hull Crown Court on 19 June 2026, 10am, for a plea and trial preparation hearing (now adjourned to 25 June).
