A man allegedly threatened another with a machete in an affray at a York estate.
The incident began in the car park at Birch Close, Huntington, near South Beck, before continuing onto Bell Farm Avenue and Byland Avenue at around 5.20pm on Saturday (18 July).
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “It was reported that a man was threatened with a large machete-style knife at Birch Close following an argument.

“Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.”
Following the incident, the suspect fled into the Bell Farm estate, reportedly running through gardens.
He’s described as
- a bald white male
- who was topless
- wearing beige trousers
- and a gold chain.
A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
The police spokesperson said: “At this time, we believe there is no wider risk to the community, and those involved are known to one another.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident in the Birch Close car park or surrounding area, or has any CCTV, doorbell, dashcam, or other video footage of the incident.
“We’d also like to hear from any residents who may have seen, or captured footage of, a topless man running through or across their property in the Bell Farm estate.”
