Three police officers were assaulted during an incident at York Christmas Market yesterday (Tuesday).
They went to the market after receiving reports that a man was causing disorder.
Police arrested one person at the scene.
Now a 44-year-old man from York has been charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, one count of assaulting a police officer, and one count of criminal damage.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court in the morning.
