A teenage girl is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a bus in York last night (Wednesday)
It happened on Boroughbridge Road near the junction with Water End at about 7pm.
The double decker Park and Ride bus and the girl pedestrian collided.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she currently remains.
“The road was closed for approximately six hours while we investigated the scene and to allow the vehicle involved to be recovered.



“We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, any passengers on the bus at the time of collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us.”
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We received an emergency call at 7.04pm on Wednesday evening to report a collision between a bus and pedestrian on Boroughbridge Road in York.
“An ambulance and a team leader were dispatched to the incident and one patient was conveyed to York Hospital.”
No arrests have been made following the collision. Police say the driver is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation.
