A man acted aggressively and hurled racist abuse at a group of people in York city centre.
Police are now appealing for people in the area at the time to come forward.
It happened on New Street near La Bottega Milanese restaurant at about 2.30pm on Saturday (6 June).

Police were called to reports that a man was acting aggressively and shouting abusive comments to members of the public.
They were also told about a theft from a nearby shop.
A man aged in his thirties has been arrested on suspicion of theft and a public order offence.
He has been released on conditional bail to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and have not already spoken to the police to come forward, including a group of men walking past who were subject to racist verbal abuse.”
