International pop star CMAT will bring her sharp humour, powerhouse vocals and genre-blending anthems to the North Yorkshire coast next summer.
The chart-topping singer-songwriter will headline Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Saturday 18 July 2026.
It marks CMAT and her band’s debut on the Yorkshire coast, as they take over Europe’s largest open-air theatre in Scarborough – further cementing CMAT’s status as one of the most exciting live acts of her generation.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday (28 November) at 10am via Ticketmaster.
It’s been five years since CMAT, aka Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, burst onto the music scene with her debut single Another Day (KFC) and quickly became one of the most distinctive and talked-about voices in modern pop.
Her debut album If My Wife New I’d Be Dead and the Ivor Novello–nominated Crazymad, For Me topped the Irish album charts, earning widespread acclaim for their mix of biting humour, emotional honesty and irresistible melody – and secured her a place on the BBC Sound of 2024 list.
CMAT’s latest album EURO-COUNTRY, has taken her star to new heights. Nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize Album of the Year 2025, the record features the viral hit Take A Sexy Picture Of Me — her first UK Top 100 single and the spark behind a global TikTok dance craze — the album explores themes of identity, grief and beauty standards with her signature wit and vulnerability.
Fresh from a show-stopping performance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage earlier this year, CMAT continues her rise from cult hero to global sensation.
CMAT joins Bastille, Bowling For Soup and Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Scissor Sisters, Madness, Rick Astley, The Kooks, and American vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims among the headliners announced so far for Scarborough Open Air Theatre 2026.
