There’s been a police operation on a busy York road this evening (Sunday).
A number of officers and police vehicles were on Price’s Lane at around 5pm.
An ambulance was also at the scene, at the junction with Nunnery Lane.
Incident location

A young witness said that he’d seen police intercept someone riding an e-bike down the road.
They were said to have performed what officers call ‘tactical contact’, where they clip a bike with their vehicle.
This is yet to be officially confirmed by North Yorkshire Police.
An e-bike was visible on the grass near to the road. We have asked the police for more details.
The emergency services have now left the scene.

The incident comes days after police seized and scrapped a number of illegal e-bikes as part of Operation Pendulum.
And it happened less than 24 hours after two teenage boys were seriously injured in Acomb after their e-bike was in collision with a car.
