An investigation is underway after a van was torched on a York street.
We reported yesterday that a the North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service had been called to the fire on Kingsway West at about 3.45am yesterday (Monday).
Now police are appealing for witnesses and information about the arson attack.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “During the incident, two suspects in dark clothing tried unsuccessfully to gain access to the back of a van on Kingsway West.
“They then set fire to the front of the van, causing considerable damage.
“We are asking for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, or who has captured anything on CCTV or dashcam, to get in touch.”
