Police have launched an investigation after a man driving a van approached a young girl in a York village.
It happened in Stockton on the Forest. The driver was wearing a black face covering.
The man told the girl that he knows her mother and then left the area.
The man was driving a transit van with no distinguishing features.
He is described as
white
aged in his 30s-40s
with brown hair
brown eyes
about 5ft 9in tall
and a large build.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We’re particularly appealing for any information from anybody who has witnessed the interaction between the man and girl.
“We would also encourage any further victims to make contact with us.”
