Police have taken action following drink-fuelled trouble in a York suburb.
They have imposed a 48-hour dispersal order for Acomb Front Street.
This follows “alcohol-related disorder, including the arrest of a 44-year-old man for shop theft and assault”.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The dispersal powers allow officers to direct individuals engaging, or likely to engage in anti-social behaviour to leave the area and not return for a specified period.
“There will be an increased police presence throughout this time to provide reassurance, prevent further disorder, and support local businesses and the community.”
Recent incidents on Acomb Front Street include two teenagers being arrested after a vulnerable man was knocked to the floor and kicked in the face outside Betfred on Monday, 16 June.
And the front of the Savers shop was smashed by a raider in the early hours of Monday 25 May.
