Traffic lights said to be among the worst in York are set for a £200,000 refurbishment.
Works are set to take place on lights and at the junction of Heworth Green and Dodsworth Avenue.
A City of York Council report on the refurbishment said it is set to take place in the autumn.

It follows an assessment of traffic lights across the city last year which identified those which were in need of repairs.
Those planned for the Heworth Green and Dodsworth Avenue junction lights, which are more than 25 years old include installing LED and ELV signals.
Puffin crossing-style red man and green man lights are also set to be fitted and tactile paving there reviewed.
The approaches to the crossing are set to be resurfaced and road markings are also set to be reviewed and repainted.
The council is also set to look at whether the pedestrian island in the road should be enlarged.
Signal equipment will also be brought up to standard along with works to the ducting network.
The council’s report on the works at the junction stated they would ensure the ongoing operation of the signal, reduce the risk of it failing and improve energy efficiency.
The report stated: “The crossing is currently among the worst condition traffic signal sites across council assets.”
