The missing man in his 70s has been found in the Cawood area.
He’d been reported missing from his home in Sherburn-in-Elmet.
Officers are with him and they believe that he is well. However due to the temperature outside they requested an Ambulance as a precaution.
They located him tonight (Tue 16 December) after receiving a call from a member of the public who had seen the appeal.
Police said: “As always your support makes all the difference to our appeals and as in this case, helps bring missing people home safely.”
