An investigation is underway after a house fire that closed the A64.
Fire crews from Malton, Sherburn and Pickering were called to the incident on the A64 Scarborough Road, Rillington, near Malton, at 12.05pm.
A barbecue fire had spread to the house.

Police closed a stretch of the A64 during the incident.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Fire crews extinguished the fire which had spread to the house interior, ventilated the heavily smoke logged premises and gave oxygen therapy to the occupier until the arrival of an ambulance.
“Fire investigation dispatched and investigated.”
