Emergency services were called to a crash on the A1M in North Yorkshire last night (Saturday).
It happened on the southbound carriageway near Knaresborough at 8.20pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Knaresborough, Harrogate and Tadcaster crews responded to a police report of a BMW car leaving the road and ending in a ditch trapping its occupants.
“On attendance, all persons safely out of vehicle. Fire made the scene safe.”
