A man was hurt after an unknown assailant attacked him without warning in York.
The victim, a local man aged in his early 20s, was on Nunnery Lane on Thursday 27 November.
At about 7.50pm, he was assaulted “in an unprovoked attack by an unknown man,” police said.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The suspect is described as in his 50s with grey hair, a grey beard, about 5ft 8in tall, and wearing a dark, possibly hooded top.
“He was seen walking off towards York Station.
“The victim suffered facial injuries but did not require medical treatment.”
