Man has tooth knocked out in York pub attack

A man lost a tooth after being punched in the face during an attack in a York pub.

It happened at around 11pm on Saturday 11 April at Yates on Church Lane.

A man punched the victim several times in the face, resulting in the his front tooth being knocked out.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are particularly keen to speak with the man shown in the image, as he may be able to assist is with our investigation.”

He is described as about 5ft 8in tall, with brown hair worn slicked back.

At the time, he was wearing a red jacket with a black vest underneath and blue jeans.

It was the second violent incident in Yates that night.

Earlier, at about 7pm, a man was punched in the face on the stairs leading to the toilets.
