Man arrested during a drugs raid in Selby

Police Officers from the Selby Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a drugs raid at a business premises on Flaxley Road in the town centre.

On entering the address, an amount of what is suspected to be a class – A drug, drug paraphernalia and mobile phones were found and recovered.

A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class- A drug.

He has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

North Yorkshire Police said: “The use of illegal drugs has a detrimental impact on our communities and will not be tolerated.

“We will always try to act on any information that we receive and encourage the local community to report anything that is suspicious via our website or 101.
