A man tried to attack a person with a knife in a York suburb.
It happened at about 5.10pm yesterday (Saturday) in Birch Park, Huntington, near to the Royal Mail depot.
Police say a bald, shirtless male attempted to attack another person with a knife.

Residents reported a large police response on Birch Park.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “After an extensive search a male has been detained and arrested however the knife has not been located.
“It appears the knife is likely to have been dumped somewhere around Byland Avenue, Middleham Avenue, Monkton Road or possibly within the nearby beck or surrounding vegetation.
“If any residents sight a discarded or hidden knife described to have a long silver blade please contact North Yorkshire Police immediately.”
