The A684 between Bedale and Leyburn will be open again during the Christmas period.
Work on Conyers Lane, between Leyburn Road and the Wild Hill Lane and Chapel Lane junction, will be suspended from tomorrow (Friday 19 December) until Monday 5 January.
Unfortunately, say North Yorkshire Council, they are unable to fully open the road without traffic lights.
After Monday 5 January it will be closed again for drainage work and highway repairs to continue.
A fully signed diversion will be in place and on-site council workers will manage access to properties and businesses within the closure.
