Jewellery worth £60,000 stolen from a train in York

Officers investigating a theft of a bag containing £60,000 worth of valuable jewellery from a train in York have released these images.

At around 4.15pm on Sunday (21 December) shortly after a train from London King’s Cross to Edinburgh arrived into York, two men stole the bag from the overhead storage before leaving the station.

Officers believe these men may have information that could help the investigation.

They should come forward as soon as possible or anyone who recognises them should contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 396 of 21 December.
