Mr Heath said Ellie was born on 20 April 2009 in York. She lived in Sherburn in Elmet.
The collision happened at about 12.28pm on 1 December.
Eleanor’s death was confirmed at the scene, Mr Heath said. The provisional cause of death was torso injuries.
Her father confirmed her identity. Mr Heath adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed, pending further police enquiries.
Following the crash, North Yorkshire Police said the driver of the Hyundai, a 40-year-old woman from Leeds, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
She was later released on conditional bail.
Eleanor, who lived in Sherburn in Elmet, was “a lovely, bubbly, young person”, the head of Tadcaster Grammar School said in a tribute after her death.
