Four people were arrested after the police chased down a motorhome stolen from York today (Friday).
The events began at 12.15am following the attempted theft of a van from The Wandle in York.
Officers received information that a cloned Peugeot 207, believed to be connected to The Wandle offence, was travelling in convoy with the motorhome.
Investigations found that the motorhome had been taken from an address in New Earswick.
Just after 2am, officers spotted the motorhome heading away from York on the A64.
The pursuit headed into West Yorkshire as it travelled south on the A1(M). A stinger device was used to deflate the tyres of the motorhome as it travelled towards Darrington.
The vehicle was stopped at 2.27am and the driver was arrested at the scene.
ck in York, officers located the cloned car in the Osbaldwick area and a further three arrests were made.
The men, aged 35, 31, 30 and 20, remain in custody for questioning in relation to multiple offences including theft of a motor vehicle.
